Sitting behind an iMac. Why?
Didn't know which of the Lance Armstrong threads to put this on, so here's a new one.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Federal prosecutors closed their investigation of Lance Armstrong without charging him over allegations he used performance-enhancing drugs Friday, ending a nearly two-year effort aimed at examining whether a doping program was created to keep the seven-time Tour de France winner and his teammates running at the head of the pack.

So let's review:

1) Never tested positive for a banned substance.

2) No charges filed and 2-year investigation dropped.

Yup, he must be guilty.

Yes, Lance Armstrong must be clean. Grow the **** up. The dirtiest sport in the world and the 7 time tour de France winner is the only one not doping. Come join us in the real world.

It was a supreme waste of time, money and effort from the outset by prosecutors hoping to make a splash.

Hey JC, JC, ... take a flying ****.

Agreed, a complete waste of time and money, but if you believe he has never doped then you still believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny.

Exactly. I agree this case should be dropped simply because it ain't worth the waste of tax dollars and court resources to prosecute it, but anyone who thinks Lance was all clean is utterly delusional.

He's from California. So you're right.

Now USADA wants to review the files. It'll be 7 years in July since his last win. Even if you can get video of him shooting up with Johan holding the needle, eight years is as far as you can go back. LET. IT. GO.

and Betsy Andreu ... STFU.

And you are convicting a guy of a crime that one set of investigators or another have been trying to prove for years and failed.

Do I think he is clean? I'm not sure. But I am sick as hell of the "Everybody else around him cheated, so he must have cheated!" line of thought. This is a site for sports journalists. Most of us have worked in that field or still do. You'd think we'd care more about actually being able to back up what we say.

If you are not sure you live in naive land just like you did with steroids and baseball. You know damn well he used, you are not writing a story you are on a message board. OJ Simpson is a murder I am comfortable in sayings his even though he was found not guilty.
