Has Graham's funeral been held yet?

No.

I wrote about this last week. I'm just flabbergasted that nine days after the sudden, out-of-the-blue death of her brother that she not only has been sworn in as a senator but now she's going to run for the whole thing. I just can't comprehend that mindset having gone through losing a sibling (and her family) suddenly and out of the blue and where my head was in the 10 days after the fact.

Didn't Trump say he was handling everything? Does he have any friends in the funeral business who will give him a break? Or maybe he's waiting on Moscow Mitch so he can get a group rate?

They may not have been close, or just middlin' close. Never know what's going on in other people's lives, especially in the weirdness of politics.

What's strange to me, though, is the virtually zero attention on this and McConnell. Hate or love them, they're two multi-decade powerful political stalwarts of the old school variety who are disappearing. Schumer is another. Pelosi, Collins, Cornyn ... there's a generational change going on, and I know the media landscape is different, but it's like "Ehh, whatever. Just another senator or rep or whoever."

Other than Stinky and Couch****er dying, would anyone else taking a ride with the Grim Reaper make much more of a splash than Graham?

What do you mean, zero attention? Graham's death and McConnell's "???" status have been two things occupying most of my social media feeds for a week or two now, along with the daily Iran bull**** and Trump's Dementia Spewing of the Day. I think Graham's death is going to recede at this point - a nepo appointment isn't really surprising or that odd, for Ds or Rs to do - but McConnell's status remains pretty bandied about.

I must be missing the more extensive coverage I think it probably should warrant despite looking at multiple sites.

Definitely not buying the fact they might not have been close if she's getting sworn in as his replacement three days after he died. And was endorsed by Trump a day or two before that, so she's been at least in his orbit.

Graham and his sister not close? He became her legal guardian after the death of their parents when she was orphaned at age 13 and later adopted her.

While his death was sudden, he was 71, and it was a relatively normal medical event. People cope and/or mourn in different ways.

He's got a plot for Lady G next to Ivana at Bedminster so his two favorite gals can rest side-by-side for eternity. But it's near the first tee and he has to wait for the service until after business slows down when summer ends.

In a related item, a dead Lindsey Graham is still smarter than a live Doug Burgum.
