POLL: How do you self-identify, politically?

I'd still say Democrat but I'm drifting. Give me the Republican Party of 1990 and I'm there.

I used to consider myself near the center, and I've voted both ways in the past. But now my views would plainly be labeled left of center.

But I don't think I changed as much as the American right did. The dumbed-down 21st Century version of the Republican Party is one I no longer recognize, nor want any part of.

I'm with the majority vote, and I can only hope it's a small harbinger of where we're headed as a country.

Democrat, mostly. I did look hard for someone to vote for on the Republican side the last three presidential elections. Didn't find anyone.

I will never again associate with the Party of Trump. Or even vote for a Republican who hasn't specifically and unequivocally denounced Trump from the start of his campaign.

I can probably count on one hand the number of identified on the ballot as Republicans on one hand (California runs non-partisan local races where people I've voted for I knew were registered GOP just weren't officially part of the party for the purpose of the election). I vote Democrat largely because the party aligns with what I believe though I try to keep an open mind about Republicans I find reasonable. Living in a deep blue part of Cali, I don't know how many of those I'm going to get and I'm sure as **** not voting for Trump in 2020 if he is still president by then.

I think of myself as liberal more than Democrat. Of course, given the crew that controls the overwhelmingly Democratic R.I. legislature (plenty of Trump hats seen at the House Speaker's election night party), being liberal here requires you to vote for several Republicans in every election. Two Democratic reps in my town co-sponsored one of those bills that basically allows you to run over protesters with your car.
