Nah, they're really a good group of guys. My wife went to college with the founder, Mike Reppucci. Really smart guy, who engineered a new type of still for their vodka. Their small batch whiskeys are very good and have earned a bunch of awards at the national and international levels. The pumpkin spice whiskey is their best product, but their single malt oloroso sherry finish whiskey runs a close second. It's a single malt finished in used sherry barrels, that gives it a distinct flavor. Really nice. If you can get their product in your area, it's worth checking out (especially the pumpkin. Can't wait to get a new bottle soon.).

He is a ball buster, but definitely far more sane than the SOSH dopes who invaded here a few years ago.

He's around my age, so 37 or so. I did a little PR work for them (got them into the WSJ and some other nice national media), but the Manning stunt was all Mike. It got them a good deal of publicity.
