You'll never see people rioting over Air LeBrons, the loser.

They'll riot an hour before the store opens, then disappear when they unlock the doors.

I had a pair of the *original* Air Jordans in '86. Apparently I should have kept them: http://compare.ebay.com/like/170658545472?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar

It is kind of funny that the NBA's current marketing frenzy involves the man who was by far the most anti-player figure of the entire labor mess.

Same here. My mom got them for me for the first day of junior high. I felt so cool walking in them for the first day of class.

And then ... junior high and high school were all downhill from there.

Call me skeptical after 20something years in this racket, but it's like when a new IKEA opens ... how much of this is hype?

Love the doofus in Atlanta who completely botches the Nike catchphrase. "Most of us probably remember the old Nike commercial with the line, 'It's the shoes' ..."

I'm not sure which is worse: rioting over a pair of over-priced shoes or actually paying for the over-priced shoes.

I don't think I've paid more than $40 ever.

More money than brains. And more stupidity than both.

$40 is my cutoff, too.
