Per TMZ ...

Richard Pryor's bodyguard had accused comedian and comedic writer Paul Mooney, engaging in under-aged sex with Richard Pryor's (then) teen-age son.
Pryor's bodyguard said when RP found out he wanted Mooney killed.

RPJr. admitted he was molested as a teen, but didn't name the person who did it.

Mooney is taking some time off from public life.

You realize there’s more to this than joke writing, right? He’s on the Mt. Rushmore of Black comics for sure, he’s also been mailing it the **** in for the better part of two decades. Sitting pompously in a throne on stage while telling white people how ****ty they are won’t take you very far, especially when there are/were better acts doing it like Patrice O’Neal, Eddie Griffin and Chris Rock.
