Kissing Suzy Kolber had fun mocking this petition today. They posted a cross section of some of the more ridiculous Patfan comments, as well as some fake ones their readers planted at their behest. The legit ones summarized thusly:

Except that a registration date for a username is hardly a reliable source for how long someone's been around. You should check some of his previous posts.

A lot of it had to do with the fact the Fox's clock and score strip was freaking out. A lot of that was bad data from the scoreboard, but it's amazing how people take that as official.

Like people who think exit polls are official and not the, you, know, actual balloting.

Honestly, WTF is wrong with these people? When that game ended I remember thinking that it was unusually bereft of controversial calls, but that hasn't stopped these nuts from scouring the videotape in search of some desperation basis for claiming they were screwed.

Can you imagine their freak out if it'd had the glaringly controversial calls from that Seattle/Pitt super bowl a couple years back? They'd be organizing a million pat fan march on Washington right now.

Maybe because I've avoided sports radio recently, but here in New England, I have not heard or read one bit of the sentiment expressed in that petition and/or website until I stumbled across this thread this afternoon. Just sayin that I'm not sure the views expressed are from normal, rational Pats fans.

I have to admit I signed the petition as a Giants fans just to have some fun with with it. I kept it clean, obviously didn't use my real name and stated plainly that yes, Pats fans have become worse than Yankees fan. As a Mets fan, I'd like to think I have a lot of experience on the subject and after coming across two Bostonians the week before the Super Bowl, they proved my point.
