MLB Advanced Media, L.P. (MLBAM) is the interactive media and
Internet Company of Major League Baseball. MLBAM manages the official
league site, www.MLB.com, and each of the 30 individual Club sites to
create the most comprehensive Major League Baseball resource on the
Internet. MLBAM is currently seeking Part-Time Editorial Web Producers.
Description: Editorial producers are responsible for all content
production. Responsibilities include editing and posting content,
about 8-10 stories per shift and posting additional multimedia
pieces. Write headlines, captions, blurbs. Select and crop photos.
Update and maintain two-to-three team sites consistently throughout
course of a shift. Monitor game and communicate with reporters about
storylines. Communicate with regional and national editors throughout
process.
Shifts are nights and weekends, up to 32 hours per week.
Qualifications:
•Excellent knowledge of HTML and web publishing.
•Experience with content management systems and FTP.
•Uploading and testing video files.
•Uploading and testing Flash files.
•Strong copy-editing skills.
•Thorough knowledge of baseball.
•Experience with Photoshop or other photo editing software.
•Candidates must live in the New York Metropolitan Area.
•Candidates must be working to work nights and weekends.
Salary: Hourly, commensurate with experience.
