Good point Buck.
I wear pretty much nothing but sports shirts (I just picked up 6 random ones for 12 bucks with gems like a light blue Morneau Twins "jersey", a Trent Richardson Browns "jersey", a Magic shirt and a Va. Tech shirt) or a few of my favorite bands. Same goes with pullovers or hats.
Is that "throwing it" in someone's face?
On the flip side, when I see someone wearing American Eagle, Ambercrombie, etc...I think they look so stupid since they are basically promoting a brand name like a team.
Yet, running gear, 5K/10K shirts, etc. don't bother me. The stickers don't really bother me either. Heck, all I have is breweries, team logos, and radio station stickers on my car

It could be just trying to write a humorous, observational piece.
