Re: Bye-bye OJ

Guilty on all counts.
Goldman must be laughing his ass off.

Re: Bye-bye OJ

Guess he can look for the real killer in the Nevada correctional system.

Jury showed no mercy. I thought the evidence was a little shady, and the prosecution was weak, but probably not enough for a not-guilty verdict. Didn't think he'd go down for all 12 counts, though. The appeal will be interesting -- I don't think this is over yet.

Patchs, thanks for beating me to putting this thread up.

Johnnie Cochran must be shaking his head in Heaven's Courtroom going "What a stupid ass fool. He couldn't help himself but to stay in trouble. What a waste."

He gets nailed on all charges.

Oh, and it's 13 years to the day since he was found not guilty in the last trial.

Re: Bye-bye OJ

No gloves in this one.
And 13 years to the day of his acquittal.

How much time is he facing?
With two 1st degree kidnapping now on his record, he's looking at life in the slammer. Do not pass go, do not collect football memorabilia.

Re: Bye-bye OJ

None of the networks broke in, even MSNBC, only CNN and it was their international channel.
Sentencing is Dec. 5.

For what it's worth, the ESPN ticker says 15 years to life.

CNN is saying if he's convicted of the most serious charges, he could face up to life in prison. Basically he's ****ed.

And it's mandatory, too.

Here's what AP wrote earlier:

Simpson, 61, and a golfing buddy, Clarence "C.J." Stewart, 54, each face five years to life in prison if convicted of kidnapping, or mandatory prison time if convicted of armed robbery. They've pleaded not guilty to 12 charges, including conspiracy, coercion and assault with a deadly weapon.

He knows that, but this definately could take up two threads in a hurry when everyone else wakes up and hears about this.

I had MSNBC on, and it showed live here. But I'm on the West Coast, so maybe that made a difference.

The bad thing here is that this all but assures the fact that the Goldman family won't get the money they're legally entitled to.
