If you're a friend with Paul on Facebook, you gotta go to his page and see the comments -- including his. Priceless.

For those of us who aren't, can you post some samples?

One of my old papers had a softball team identified in agate as Destined for F*cking Mediocrity. That was the rec league team's actual name, but man did the **** hit the fan the next day.

We became much more vigilant about checking the agate page after that.

I recall The (Columbia, S.C.) State having a help wanted classified ad that said, "**** your way to the top. Company CEO seeks qualified Admin Assistant ..."

When I worked at the Corpus Christi Caller-Times back in the Stone Age, there was a clip in the newsroom from the McAllen Monitor that was our cautionary tale about not fooling around with placeholders.

The clip had this byline:

By **** For Brains
Associated Press

Story history should be able to ID the culprit rather easily.
Charlotte's ski ad in the mid-90s still much, much better.

I am unaware -- can someone post or at least describe the Charlotte ad?

It's times like these that I also regret not having a hard copy of that small paper that had the high school player who "sucks donkey dicks and doesn't even wipe the **** off." Or the other paper that said the girls soccer players were celebrating their conversion to lesbianism.

Ah, mistakes.

I'm guessing 1HP was talking about this:

When I was done laughing, I realized it reminded me of the comics at marriedtothesea.com the way it was so casually placed in there.

Doctorquant, you are correct. Can't remember the year. It has been a while.
