An odd countdown date will occur Saturday, when the calendar turns to 12/11/10.

Although it is the 11th year in a row for such an occurrence, to the best of my knowledge, it won't happen again until the year 3000.

We had the following countdown dates since the millennium began:
12/11/10 - December 11, 2010
11/10/09 - November 10, 2009
10/09/08 - October 9, 2008
09/08/07 - September 8, 2007
08/07/06 - August 7, 2006
07/06/05 - July 6, 2005
06/05/04 - June 5, 2004
05/04/03 - May 4, 2003
04/03/02 - April 3, 2002
03/02/01 - March 2, 2001
02/01/00 - February 1, 2000

Ironically, the last one before the 2000 date would have been 12/11/10 in the year 1910.

(OK, give me a break. I'm recently divorced and have too much time on my hands)

Well, then I plan to make Saturday an extra special day, because I'm thinking I probably won't be here for the next one.

Wouldn't it happen again on Feb. 1, 2100?

Well hell. >:(

Apparently Harley doesn't have too much time on his hands. At least not to figure out the math on this one...

I'm still gonna party Saturday like it's 12-11-10.

Just wait until Buttuary becomes a month next year, and we have 13-12-11

Lousy Smarch weather!

I'm still trying to figure out the irony of its occurrence in 1910.

Most of the world WILL have 13-12-11. On the 13th of December. :)
