(AP) Oprah Winfrey will join Democrat Barack Obama again on the campaign trail, this time visiting the early contest states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, the candidate's campaign said Monday.

The popular talk show host and media mogul plans to visit Iowa on Saturday, Dec. 8, with stops in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids. The following day, she'll travel to Columbia, S.C. Later that day, Obama's campaign said, she'll travel to Manchester, N.H.

This isn't the first time Oprah has lent her star power to the Illinois senator.

In September, she rolled out the red carpet for Obama at a gala fundraiser in California that brought in about $3 million for his campaign.

Winfrey is a well-known fan of Obama, calling him "my favorite guy" and "my choice" on CNN's "Larry King Live" last year before he announced he would seek the presidency.

In a news release announcing the events, Obama's campaign said tickets to the Iowa events will be given first to precinct captains, then campaign volunteers, then to supporters and undecided caucus-goers.

It said volunteers can be guaranteed a ticket by completing a four-hour volunteer shift or attending local caucus training before the event.

It's spreading throughout the land of Yabrador:

So by adding Winfrey to the ticket, Obama hopes to get the African-American vote. It's all becoming clear now.

Obama-Oprah. Now there's an interesting thought. And when they win, and when Oprah has Obama "last-breathed" ... President Oprah. Man alive!

Winfrey isn't going to be on any tickets, but I do think she might just blunt Hillary's edge among women in the early primary states.

Obama said last week on The Daily Show that there's only so much celebrities can do. I doubt one of them was "serve as VP."
Oprah is to Celebrity as Jesus is to Historical Figures

Unless Oprah can give a car to every voter, she isn't going to be much help to Obama.

Oh, I think having the most famous woman in America, whose audience is willing to buy Mitch Albom books just because SHE TELLS THEM TO DO IT might come in handy in certain states.

I'm fairly certain that having Oprah Winfrey available for appearances in remote locations is going to generate some buzz. Not to mention give a lot of women pause to think about whether they believe the message being sent by SOME women's groups right now that women HAVE to vote for Hillary because she's a woman.

Her often-horrid taste in literature aside, having a prominent woman out there telling women that it's OK to vote for Obama is a big deal.

This woman wipes her ass with 100 dollar bills.

That said, there will be new cars for all.

My vote is now bought.

And she didn't even have to throw in a signed copy of Tuesday's With Morrie?

This might be easier than I thought...
