As I bandaged a tiny wound the other day, I realized it's been awhile since Band-Aids have had those little red string things. You know, the ones that kept them "sterile until open" for so long.

It occured to me that many things have become obsolete in my lifetime.

Seriously, could Benjo have impressed Tiffany if he just put his teeth through the plastic roof of the pudding cups we know today? Nah. He needed to lift off that little hooky thing off the tin cup to win her over.

Beyond technology, what common items have been rendered useless during your lifetime?
