An idiot Minnesota couple has a youtube vlog where they do stunts.
Their latest (and last) was her shooting him with a .50 caliber gun in the chest, with an encyclopedia his only protection.

It didn't go well.

Some dude shot a bullet at David Blaine and Blaine caught it in his teeth. If that went wrong, would the shooter be prosecuted?

Late to the party here but I believe the difference here is the venue in which the two "stunts" (I use the term loosely here for the two dip****s). Blaine and other magicians I'm sure get permits to fire a gun, not to mention he's likely firing blanks. The couple did this from their home, IIRC. At the very least she's going to jail for unlawfully firing a weapon among other possible gun charges. At worst it's involuntary manslaughter for killing someone while doing something reckless. It depends if prosecutor wants to even bother with throwing the book at her.
