The doctor who contracted Ebola in West Africa before returning to New York City has been declared free of the virus, hospital officials announced Monday. This news means that 41 days after the first Ebola diagnosis in the United States, there are no known cases of the virus in the country.

So, is there still room for panic, or should we move on to panic about something else?

Are we finished panicking about Obama playing golf when he should have been shutting airports?

Will the idiots who made fools of themselves ever be held accountable...I'm talking to you, Chris Christie and Ted Cruz.

I'm sure the bioterror isn't over. Someone else will surely bring another case to the mainland.

Well, there are the thousands of us being beheaded by ISIS every day to panic about.

A vial with Ebola'd liquid was sent to a newsroom in New Zealand (or Australia), can't remember which, a few days ago.

The bottom line is that what we were told seems to be pretty accurate: Ebola is difficult to catch without direct contact with infectious bodily fluids. It has about a 70% mortality rate, and we've had one death in the U.S. out of what, 9 cases treated here?

The election is over now, so maybe we'll quit hearing how Obama is responsible for the Ebola plague that is sweeping the nation, or how hospitals were not prepared. Seems to me that hospitals are largely responsible for that preparedness, and if the Federal Government had forced them to have a stockpile of supplies to deal with it before it ever hit our shores we'd have heard screams about Federal Overreach.

Shrug. Back to trying to smother it at the source. That seems both sensible and a whole lot more comfortable, unless you are on the front lines doing it.

Better leadership and the USA Ebola crisis would not have become the flavor of
the week for the cables. Just sayin.

Unless the networks were directed by the suits in the offices upstairs to cook it into a crisis regardless of the facts.

While we're at it, what about this early snowstorm. Why the hell hasn't You Know Who taken decisive action against THAT yet?
