Yes, this episode dragged along. But I'm juiced for next week's big episode on John.

As for this one, I enjoyed it. I'm just hoping that piece of paper attached to the bird doesn't get wet.

Solid episode, especially if you DVR it and can rip through it in 25 minutes.

Totally agree on watching Kate scale the tree.

Totally agree on next week's Locke-centered episode being intriguing.

This was a good, classic Lost episode tonight. You feel as though progress was made toward the ultimate conclusion and you were hit with several more questions. Such as: WTF was Jack doing?

You know, after the misguided break this show took, it has come back rather strong. This was the second straight really good episode. I hope that the efforts to nail down a closing date for the show puts this thing on a solid path.

And by the way, I'm going to disagree with a lot of the "dragging" complaints. Last season, with all the damned flashbacks and meaningless treks through characters' minds, it did drag. This season -- and especially the last few episodes -- it hasn't dragged so much as it has bounced back and forth between storylines. I think a lot of the dragging complaints come when people don't see the particular characters they're most interested in for a show or two.

I agree. One of this show\'s strengths is that it\'s got so many good characters and it lets them interact in interesting ways. So when it goes episodes at a time ignoring some of the best, like Charlie or Sayid, to focus on Jack, Kate and Sawyer, Jack, Kate and Sawyer, I think it loses some its spark. But the last couple of episodes, that spark has returned. And that\'s nice.

Nah. It'll take more than one game of catch for that. That's great for a promo, but his character is too invested with the Losties for that, IMO.

It's funny to hear someone ragging the show for "dragging" ... because I was talking last night about how the show has picked up pace in recent weeks. I thought this "Claire" episode was excellent; the one before it was just as good. Seems like Lost is back on track now. I'm happy.

Wasn't Claire hot hot hot as a dark-haired gal? Goodness.

Rousseau does nothing for me. Her character is a bore.

What was Locke doing with the C4? Sayid seemed to have his own conclusion, but I sure didn't. Locke is losing his mind or something.

My guess, and I'm guessing I'm not the only one thinking it: Locke wants NO PART of leaving that island. I think he'll sabotage anything and anyone who he believes offers a real chance at returning to civilization.

This is a guy, after all, who was paralyzed until 815 crashed. He's got a pretty good reason to want to stay. And he's now straight-up murdered two people toward that goal.

Well, he did tell Walt in Season 1 that he didn't want to leave. This crash is the fulfillment of his dream - life in an uncivilized outback.

Losing the feeling in his legs, he sends Boone into a situation that he is confident will result in his death. He believes sacrificing Boone will allow him to keep the use of his legs.

Would it stand up in a court of law? Never. But he definitely murdered him.
