A Canadian magazine called The Beaver is changing its name because the digital edition is being filtered into spam/junk mail folders because of its name having a pornographic connotation.

"To be perfectly blunt about it, The Beaver was an impediment on the Internet. People were literally writing us and saying, 'We can't get your e-newsletter because it's being spam-filtered out, can you change the title of the heading?' "

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change.
However, Canada's largest publication for small, private airport owners will keep its name intact. So look online for the next issue of The Landing Strip.

The Beaver is a great magazine.

And extremely nice work by the National Post in its "suggestions" for the mag's new name rather than the blander-than-bland "Canada's History."

I interviewed once at the Oakville Beaver. I wanted that job just so I could pick up the phone and call people and tell them I was from the Beaver.

I snicker like a 13-year old every time I'm on I-85 north of Atlanta and pass the exit for "Beaver Ruin Road."
