New SI.com look

Sports Journalists Forum – Media, Newsroom & Reporting Talk

Help Support Sports Journalists Forum:

As a tennis fan, I like that it now has it's own tab on the front instead being lumped in with the More Sports tab.

I wonder if Vista has played a part in all these recent .com redesigns?

That's a great question. I hadn't even thought of that.

I hate that as well, I think they do it to increase their page views.

Also get rid of that small banner ad in the middle of the "ESPN News headlines" area.

I agree that thing annoys me more than it should. It's just stuck in there and doesn't look good and makes that whole area look off.

As for the SI page thing, I'm sure I'm not letting you in on any huge secret, but if you just click on Print you get it all on one page.

Just wandered over to SI to look for something--which I didn't find--but couldn't help notice on the front page:

Four separate references/links to Jenn Sterger (including two pictures), four ads for the Swimsuit issue, a photo section on college hoops cheerleaders, and the Daily Scorecard featuring the all-important blonde who stepped up and helped the guy who was supposed to make a marriage proposal during the Super Bowl.

Lame.
