Despite the negative press, I have a Blackberry Storm and freaking love it.
It needed a bunch of software updates right after I got it, but other than that, it does everything I want.

I know some people are in love with their iPhones, but I just ditched mine in favor of a Samsung Propel.
It was purely a cost-cutting move. Between losing the iPhone data package ($30), Internet access for my daughter's phone ($15) and scaling back on our minutes from 2,100 to 700 ($40), I trimmed $85 from our monthly wireless bill.
Do I really need to check e-mail and Facebook every hour or so by phone? No.
My daughter can still text all her friends 30.9 times per day (the average last month) and I've been texting more of late instead of using minutes, so it's all good.

Beef, I'm pushing for an iPhone from Bell. They've got the best smartphone plan right now, $45 a month for pretty much everything you'd get from Telus at $55 or Rogers at $65 a month.
Bell is the only company with the Palm Pre, which is solid but hardly has anything in its app store. With an iPhone you have the biggest selection of apps to choose from which will, in many cases, make the phone even more useful to you.
Depends on what you want it for. Me, I'm getting a high-quality microphone attachment and it'll be my new voice recorder in addition to taking mugshots and web video on the fly for work. I've been syncing my wife's iPod Touch with the calendars, address book and mail on my work computer, then all of my media content at home and it's amazing how much I use it, both for entertainment and work (not surprisingly, she wants me to get an iPhone too). Throw a phone in and where there were once five things to carry around, now there's one.

I live in Kentucky, not exactly the technological capital of the world, and I've traveled to Eastern Kentucky for work several times over the last month or so. I had 3G almost the entire time, the exceptions being when I was all the way back in the mountains. And in most of the places where I wasn't picking up 3G, I wasn't picking up anything.
Meanwhile, Verizon's "map" of 3G availability for AT&T's 3G coverage makes it look like there are about four counties in the state of Kentucky where 3G is available. Pure bunk.

I've had the Blackberry 8830WE for two years before dropping it for the LG EnV Touch. I miss BBM (blackberry messaging) and that's about it. The EnV Touch is pretty easy to navigate and it has a flip for a qwerty keyboard.

Even though I haven't been the most accurate on the touch screen, it has great word recognition, so I keep typing despite the mistakes, recognizes what I'm trying to spell and corrects it once I hit the space button to move on to the next word. Battery life isn't great when you're using all the features for an extended period of time, but that's to be expected.

I'm still playing around with it, learning what I can do... But the internet is great. Posting here is a breeze... and let's face it, what's more important than that.
