EAST

Steve Nash should be starting over T-Mac, Howard over Shaq. That's my only real complaints.

True dat. T-Mac is definitley deserving to be on the team, but Nash is..well....Nash.
It's still gonna' cool to see T-Mac and Kobe playing as guards on the same court.

David Stern will pick the extra guy for Yao's spot, but Mike D’Antoni picks the replacement starter. I bet he goes small-ball and starts Nash. Any other injury and Nowitzki gets in.

Steve Nash is going to be the most anonymous three-time defending MVP in any sport ever.

These starters are further proof that fans should never be allowed to vote for all-star teams.

Shaq? He's played, what, four games? Fraud!

Shaq on the team is a joke. McGrady over Nash is a crime.

Agreed. Not much more Nash could have done this season to prove he deserved to start.

An All-Star Game is an exhibition. It is for the fans. This time, it does NOT count (got that, Bud? ::))

Let the coach-picked reserves be for the deserving-but-unknown guys. The fans should get to choose who they want to see.

As a fan, I never cared how good of a shortstop Barry Larkin was. (In fact, I do think he should be in Cooperstown one day.) But Ozzie Smith always got my vote to play shortstop. He was the player I wanted to see in the All-Star Game.
I completely agree. That's why it was a joke that the NHL rigged its voting so Rory Fitzpatrick didn't go to the All-Star Game. Fans wanted him there, so acquiesce to their wishes.

Don't let them watch the games, either.

No Suns or Mavs on the West team? Absurd!

And, Shaq shouldn't be eligible. There should be a minimum games played rule. Otherwise, no problem with him.

I'd be OK with that. It just seems like RAMBO and his ilk voted for the all-stars, and he annoys me.

Course, I'd probably be content with a mandate that players have to play x number of games to be eligible.

While he gets in on name recognition alone, I don't think Shaq is the best Center in the East anymore. I think Dwight Howard has passed him this season.

Dwight Howard is a monster. Just imagine what he could do if was the main focus of that offense.

This is all on fan voting? Kind of interesting that fans have more love for McGrady than Nash. I guess it's just the average fans that remember seeing McGrady pull off some crazy dunks in past all-star games, but you'd think fans would actually rather see Nash. The way he passes the ball is the only thing that could get me to watch this game... but I still won't.

You know who McGrady plays for? Yao's teammate. There's a heck of a lot of votes for being that.

Who is?

Nash not starting is a joke. Sure it's an All Star game, but it's the recognition he deserves. Dumb.
