At least two buildings were on fire and crews were searching for casualties on the ground at the scene of a fiery Navy jet crash in the 900 block of S. Birdneck Road shortly after noon.

Hopefully SJ VA Beach is OK.

This is a common fear for people down here who live in or near the flight path of planes out of Oceana.

The local TV stations have been wall-to-wall, and the video is pretty chilling. As of now, six injuries but none life threatening. Certainly would be a pleasant surprise if that holds up.
