My place of employment sucks ass

So here's the deal. I'm working Xmas eve and Xmas day. My mom is going to be in Minnesota, my Dad is working, my lady "friend" is doing her family deal two hours away so I decided to work the holidays and make some extra bank. Wrong! My cheap ass company has said if you work both days you can only claim the extra pay for one. Now how many people are going to work both days? Me, two news people and a few people in the press room. The paper can't bite the bullet for five or six people working both days? Cheap ass bastards! I hope they all burn in hell and since I'll be there too I can't wait to see the devil's henchmen shove pineapples up their asses!

You could always call in sick on Xmas and make your place scramble to find a replacement on Christmas Day. I'd bet that person will get holiday pay.

Both days as in... what? Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? If so, that's not terribly unusual. Christmas Eve isn't a holiday at my shop. I'm here right now, working at the usual rate.
Now if you're working both Christmas Day and New Years Day, and they're only going to pay holiday rate for one, you're right. They suck.

I can see your point, but those rules weren't annoucned until two days ago. So needless to say I'm putting in for a full day today, but working only four hours. Stick it to the man!

There is only one holiday -- Xmas. Thus, you get pay for only one holiday.
