Did any of you see this?

I'll post the lede, which should be enough to make you read it all:
--
Count Gottfried von Bismarck, who was found dead on Monday aged 44, was a louche German aristocrat with a multi-faceted history as a pleasure-seeking heroin addict, hell-raising alcoholic, flamboyant waster and a reckless and extravagant host of homosexual orgies.
--
And the last line is absolutely brilliant.

He couldn't find the right girl. You know one who was a pleasure-seeking heroin addict, hell-raising alcoholic, flamboyant waster and a reckless and extravagant host of homosexual orgies.

He evidently never tried online dating.

I passed his obit around the office.
A couple of guys googled him and found his wikipedia entry. Apparently, the guy died at an orgy.

Sure beats "Took the Gloryland Express to be with his Lord and Savior" which appeared in our paper a few weeks ago.

Headline for the funeral notice should be: Taking Out the Eurotrash

Louche: Of questionable taste or morality; disreputable or indecent; dubious; shady

I've got to find a way to work that word into a story.

And he was the great great grandson of THE Bismarck, the father of the German nation. Why couldn't George Washington's descendents be this much fun?

I'm sure it would be real hard, considering we deal with athletes.

Adam "Pacman" Jones, the louche defensive back of the Tennessee Titans...

No, that makes it sound like he plays in the CFL.

Do you cover the NFL or NBA? Your chance might be closer than you think.

George Washington had no direct descendents. (Oh ... that question was rhetorical? Sorry.)

According to what I found, he died of an epileptic seizure.

Maybe he had the seizure during the orgy and people thought he was just really getting into it!

I think the problem was he did find her...and she beat him to the overdose.

von Bismarck continued to live high on the hog, hosting riotous all-night parties for his (chiefly gay) friends at his £5 million flat off Sloane Square. It was at one such event, in August last year, that von Bismarck encountered tragedy for a second time when one of his male guests fell 60 ft to his death from the roof garden. While von Bismarck was not arrested, he was questioned as a witness and there were those who wondered - not, perhaps, without cause - whether he might be the victim of a family curse.

I love it.
