He's doing a show about the run-up to Iraq.
He's kicking ass, with the KR guys now.

S'CHICK ---
It's at 9 pm EDT.
Where you're at, I dunno.
Bob Simon is a real mensch.

Jonathan Landay from KR needs a ****ing parade.
God, this is a nightmare.

I found it puzzling that I would agree with you, but now somehow I'm thinking that it's not the sight of Moyers himself that's making you sick. Carry on.

****, I'm at a ballgame and forgot to tape it. Is it being replayed later?

"(W)e need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime. We all know the litany of his offenses. He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation. ...And now he is miscalculating America?s response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction. That is why the world, through the United Nations Security Council, has spoken with one voice, demanding that Iraq disclose its weapons programs and disarm. So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real, but it is not new. It has been with us since the end of the Persian Gulf War." -- John Kerry, Jan 23, 2003

He doesn't come across well in the piece either, foof.
It's about how THIS profession turtled.

If you haven't seen it, you really should watch it.

Watching this now with my 13-year-old, who just called the New Repubilc boy blunder of an editor a "jackwipe."

The lesson on how the media abrogated its responsibility to this country and its people is one he's learning firsthand.

Neither are you, with comments like that.

You must have forgotten the blue sarcasm font. Because I thought I just read you comparing that Nazi gasbag to someone who has won 10 Peabody Awards, 30 Emmy Awards for broadcasting excellence and is considered one of the foremost journalists and documentarians of the last 35 years.

And oh yeah. He's an ordained Baptist minister. The only thing Limbaugh ministers to is his own racist, sexist, drug-addled, corporate fellating.

Your comparison needs work, not to mention serious, rational thought. ::)

Bill Moyers?

Holy Christ on a ****ing sidecar.

Hey how does your duodenum look, anyway?

What a show. And what a complete f*cking embarrassment this country is to every man, woman and child who live here.

This has been discussed in other Frontline shows before, but the events of September 8, 2002 are spelled out clearly:

1) White House leaks (incorrect) information about Saddam's nuclear buildup to the NY Times.
2) NY Times prints A-1 story about nuclear buildup.
3) Cheney goes on Meet the Press and discussed nuclear buildup, citing the NY Times story as proof or evidence of said buildup. Thus, the circle is complete.
Other administration officials (Condi, Powell, Rummy) go on the other shows. Obviously there was a talking points memo since Powell and Condi use the same buzz words ("Hunt and Peck").

The Washington Post and NY Times completely failed in their jobs to do any investigative work. Knight Ridder guys were lone voices in the wind, questioning the White house info. It made a noise like a tree in a forest with nobody around.

Powell's speech at the UN included a report on Iraq done by the British government. The basis for that "report" was a thesis paper done by a college student in California. Read that sentence again. British media properly condemned the Blair administration. The student complained of plagiarism! Crickets in the US.

At least it showed in the proper light the uselessness of those dopey cable news talk shows that many posters here watch and comment on. Utterly worthless wastes of airtime.

One show, Phil Donahue's, actually questioned the White House misinformation marketing machine. It was cancelled literally because the execs were afraid that it looked unamerican.

It was a revolting 90 minutes of television and completely depressing to anyone with a vested interest in the way our country is run.
