More trouble for UCF, George O'Leary

The mother of UCF freshman running back Brandon Davis said her son is suffering from acute kidney failure after he collapsed during an intense offseason conditioning workout Wednesday at the school.

In an exclusive interview with the Sentinel on Sunday, Donna Davis said her son is in guarded condition and has spent the past five days at Florida Hospital East.

Given the problems UCF and O'Leary have already had with players being overworked, this has to have them squirming on the east side of Orlando.

That's an old story. I'm certain we've discussed that on here before when O'Leary's name has come up.

Not that it excuses his behavior. Just pointing out that the story should be common knowledge to anybody who covers college ball.

That's an old story. I'm certain we've discussed that on here before when O'Leary's name has come up.

And sometimes "old news" gets forgotten about over the course of eight years. No reason to chide him for posting.

Well, I didn't feel the need to rehash the whole thing because, as noted above, it has been discussed on here. It was worth pointing out, though, because it looks like O'Leary has a history of disregarding the well-being of his players.
