It's not a story until ESPN rewrites it and deems it and ESPN story.

Doesn't matter who reported it.

Have a nice time in Leavenworth, Michael. I had family who were stationed in nearby Ft. Riley when I was 7 and when I was seventeen, I had a family relative spend 5 years for an offense while he was in the military. His advice when he was released: if you ever commit a crime serious enough to land in Leavenworth, you should be considered the dumbest son of a ***** alive.

THE Leavenworth is for military. There is a separate civilian unit there too. I was told by an Army NCO who was a corrections person there that there wasn't much difference.
I always thought Leavenworth was max security.... have no idea why.

at Leavenworth, your chances of being shanked is very slim.

Could Vick be there for his own protection?

Almost got my first journalism gig in Leavenworth. Not sure what is worse, living in the town or the prison.

There's a way to judge: Which did people try to leave more often?

from KC Star ...

Vick was expected to wake up today in the dormitory-style minimum-security federal prison camp at Leavenworth surrounded by about 440 other inmates, most of whom are drug offenders.

Vick’s stay will be more comfortable than if he were assigned to the adjacent U.S. penitentiary at Leavenworth, which houses medium-security inmates and was once considered the most feared prison in the American criminal justice system.
