Manager, Media Relations - Boston Red Sox (Boston, MA)
Reports to: Director, Media Relations
Primary Responsibilities:
• Cultivate relationships with uniformed personnel and media; represent the activities of both departments to media and internally
• Deputy to Director of Media Relations, assisting with management of department operations
• Travel with the team on approximately one-third of road trips
Serve as the Deputy to Director, Media Relations in providing support for the following functions:
• Daily Baseball Media Relations
• Press box management
• Game Notes
• Daily Manager, player, uniform personnel media availability
• Regular Baseball Ops announcements, including trades
• GM, Baseball Ops, Player interview requests
• On-site media relations for Road Games
• Spring Training media relations
• Post-season media relations
Ideal candidate will have:
• 3-5 years prior experience working in public relations with a Major League club, including team travel, clubhouse presence, baseball writing, press conferences
• Experience managing a staff
• Prior experience with American League media
• Familiarity with national sports media
• Postseason experience
