The heartwarming tale of Bobby Percussion and Gary Navers, teammates on the Chicago Grizzlies.

After that, we get the tale of Darrius Dirt, a lightning quick boxer who faces losing his career in his prime because he won't go to war in Taiwan. Darrius eventually changes his name to Buddha Pali and fights his nemesis, Smoldering John Dozier, in an epic battle in Honolulu.

This book is followed by a story about a troubled baseball player from the slums of Miami who rises to fame with the New York Megas. Damon Raspberry is the ultimate 5-tool player who eventually throws his life away doing crack and seeks redemption with the cross-town rival New York Americans.....

The possibilities are limitless

Were I Larry Bird, I'd seek out the author, pull the Manhattan phone book out from under
his seat at his writing desk, and slap him silly.

Book Description
Josh Cameron has it all: a World Championship ring with the Boston Celtics, an MVP award, a clean-cut image, and the adoration of millions. What he doesn’t have is family. Until the day 12-year-old smartaleck Molly Parker confronts him in a parking lot and claims to be his daughter—the only daughter of Jen Parker, Josh’s college sweetheart and the still the only girl he’s ever loved. Trouble is, Jen Parker died last year, and now Molly has tracked down the father she never knew, the one her mother never wanted her to know about. Josh Cameron cares about two things only: himself, and basketball. The last thing this superstar wants or needs is a 12-year-old daughter. Yet this isn’t just any 12-year-old. Mr. World Champion has finally met his match

Yup, that's Bird.

Man, you are a badass detective.

Hourly rates.

I don't wanna know about where you hang out.

I'm not sure I am understanding this.

Are you guys saying that Larry Bird had sex with a woman in college?

No.
Larry had a marriage and a daughter when he was very young. He thereupon apparently stiffed the first wife and daughter for 20 years.

And now Luppy has given it a happy ending .

Next up Randy Johnson

Ah! The genius is that Loopy tweaked the details just enough to make it loveable. Is the team name in the book the Celtics or Smeltics?

Lupy's next installment:

A professional basketball player named Sean Klemp finds out, much to his disbelief, he has an illegitimate child.

The discovery drives him to drugs, alcohol, and binge eating.

He could find friendship with another ex player-- Harry Johnson

Iteresting observation by Luppy today in Shooting From the Lip. Even more interesting since Luppy was signing his book from 2- 4 and missed the begining of game. Maybe he tivo'ed it.

Ohio State vs. Michigan yesterday, 42-39, for the Buckeyes, is the best regular-season game between No. 1 and No. 2 since Nebraska-Oklahoma in 1971.
It was that kind of game yesterday in Columbus.

Think about it: We got Texas vs. USC to end last season, and we get a game like this 10 months later.

Once again, we get the very best of the place Dan Jenkins always called Saturday's America.

And the best team won.

Boom, your singled-minded hard-on for certain high-profile writers is one of the more amusing things about SportsJournalists.com. Who's one and who's two, between Lupica and Peter King?

Hey I just call em as I see em. Both of these guys just make it too easy.

I mean really how silly is it that Luppy was writing about a game that he missed the first half hour of. Luppy was also on the sports reporters talking about the game - that he missed some of.
