Great episode....I agree with whoever said that we'll see the Others and the survivors align to take on the boat people..........and Jack taking OC 80's was a bit surprising....that's for sure.

Are we to believe the flash-forward is Jack's true future? Are we to believe it is present day?
Because isn't it possible that this "future" could be changed by whatever happens on the island next?

I've watched every episode of that damn show and every single freaking time Jack or a plane person is in a bind, they back down, wait for later. play it safe. Not last night. Last night they put their asses on the line to get rid of the others and to get off the damn island. It was finally like they said "Enough of this bull****."
To do that and still leave so many intriguing options for next season was simply awesome.
Locke held back.
He murders Naomi when she's using the sat-phone. He threatens to kill Jack to stop him, but then silently slips off into the jungle when Jack begins using it.

I was thinking maybe Juliet. Don't think it's Sawyer because Kate says, "I have to get back. He'll be wondering where I went." when she was talking to Jack in the flash forward. I assume she's referring to Sawyer. Don't think it's Locke because I don't see him leaving the island under any circumstances. Same goes for Ben. But it could be Ben. That would be my second guess.
it could be kate's son that would be wondering where kates gone off to (assuming she's pregnant and enough time passed for her to have the child)
Runaway Jim said:Could the people on the mysterious boat be from Dharma? We know Ben participated in the uprising that killed all the original Dharma people on the island. Maybe he learned something about them and what they were attempting to do there and that's what caused him to defect and turn on them.

Jack definitely said neither and was offered to view the person inside and totally refused.clarkington said:I thought he said neither.JayFarrar said:I was intrigued by Jack's response to the funeral director's question of friend or family.
Jack said either. Who on the island, besides Kate and we know it isn't her and I'm fairly sure it was a man, would get that kind of response?
And Ben wiped out the entire Dharma group, including his dad, and he's not the bad guy. The real bad guys are out on the boat.
Really?
I thought he said neither.
He wouldn't have considered Locke his friend after what happened last night would he -- with Locke pointing the gun at him and everything? I think those two are headed for a throwdown.Webster said:I thought that, if it is someone that we know, there person in the coffin is Ben as well -- because I think that Jack would have considered Locke his friend.

Depends how old the child is. They could be back for years.Inky_Wretch said:How do we know the "he" Kate referred to wasn't a child?
