Saw this on Eamon Brennan's ESPN blog, and thought I'd share. It's a clip Taylor University (Ind.) athletics did from its men's basketball team's latest "Silent Night" game. What happens is, the gym is stone silent... until Taylor scores its 10th point, at which point the whole place goes ape-**** bonkers.
Then, in the waning minutes of the game, everyone in the gym locks arms and sings "Silent Night."
Even if you hate religion (including Christianity and basketball), it's a pretty cool small-college tradition.
(By the way, the Ivanhoe's sponsoring the tournament in question is one of the great small-town ice cream shops in America.)
