I am in LA staying near the airport for one night before leaving Friday afternoon. I plan on hitting the In N Out on Sepulveda. Any recommendations on Mexican food close to LAX?

Lotta strip clubs within 6 blocks of LAX.

Don't know about Mexican but I'd hit the taco trucks if you find any. You could probably 4square "Mexican restaurants" nearby to get some suggestions.

Thanks Xan, didn't know if trucks would be close and I am not getting a car.

Of the 10 on the first page, only No. 7 is actually close to LAX.
What hotel are you staying at? Tito's Tacos in Culver City is awesome.
There's also one of the Campos chain on Jefferson and Centinela. Looks like a ****hole, but the food is really good.

At the Radisson on West Century, figure I can walk to In N Out to see what the fuss is about, would love some good Mexican though!

Crowdsourced a bit on FB for you. One person said this:

Paco's Tacos - 6212 W Manchester Ave Westchester, CA 90045
(310) 645-8692 ... Not "Top Shelf" really, but very, very good and full bar

I walked to the In N Out Burger on Friday night. It was delicious and now I am ready to enter the Five Guys vs In N Out debate :). It was cool to sit outside on the LAX glidepath, watch the planes, and chow down, place was packed, inside and out.

I got my Mexican fix at a family owned place in Hawthorne, unpretentious and super yummy, will be going back.

Best advice I'm going to give you, do not run through LAX. Definitely not a good idea. Just ask Joe Morgan.

What's the name of the place in Hawthorne?

I am trying to remember it! The person I was down there to meet for business is a native of East LA and told me he had been going there long enough to see the sons who now run the place when they were kids. They started with one location and now have 3 or 4.

It had giant jugs of Horchado, lemonade and 2 other juices on the counter. I will be back in 2 weeks and will have to ask him!

Thanks. Next time, get him to take you to Manuel's in East L.A. Legendary.

Orange Bang? Mmm ...

There's a joint near me in Inglewood called LAX Tacos, it's awesome. I go there at least once a week after work.
