Nice article from Outside on Armstrong. He seems to have come to terms with his past and tried to make amends. The problem is, of course, that he lied so long and so well that many people have difficulty believing what he says.

Is Lance Armstrong (Truly) Sorry?

I hope he gets his other nut stuck in the spokes on one of his bikes.
Scumbag.

For the sake of his kids, I hope Armstrong has evolved.

(Also, that entire issue is awesome. Cahill's article about dying and being revived was gripping.)

Have you written for "Outside"? I feel like someone here has.

One of my favorite days of the month is when "Outside" is delivered.

Last week I got "Outside," "USA Today Sports Weekly," "Sports Illustrated," "Esquire," and "The New Yorker," all on the same day.

That was a good day.

The piece about the first two guys to go up Everest without supplemental oxygen was pretty good, too, although any time a piece profiles two people instead of just one, I'm constantly like, "Wait. Which one was this one again?"

I've helped some of their writers with local beta, but that's it.

When he gives up absolutely everything and is barely sustaining himself above poverty, then I'll say he's truly sorry and making amends. Until then, nah. Screw that guy. He screwed over his best friends, defamed them as liars, and now he's living in a $9M house in Aspen with nearly $100M in assets??? This is the last time I give any thought to this terrible excuse for a human being. He's a total fraud and I hope the US Postal service nails him in court and he moves into a double wide in Jackpot, Nev. eating mac and cheese for the rest of his life.

You should have read Gary Smith's profile on the 2011 Phillies aces. Introduced them with their nicknames, "Loose Laser," "Tunnelman," "Late Riser" and "Kid Quantum." Kept going back to those nicknames. Was maddening to read. Who the **** is this guy again?

When I think of Armstrong, I think of "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story."

THIS! One of those scenes that was kinda funny anyway, but was made funnier by changing events. Like the time "Cheers" opened with no one knowing who John Kerry was, well before he ran for president.

Just take your ball and go home.
