Kellyanne Conway on her 'Me too' moment: 'Nobody cared'

"Yes, of course I’ve had a ‘Me too’ moment, but nobody cared about that,” Conway said when asked by POLITICO’s Anna Palmer about her personal connection to the movement that has seen a wave of women speak out about acts of sexual impropriety by powerful men. “If we’re going to have an honest conversation everyone — you can’t pick and choose depending on somebody’s politics.”

According to Conway, a day after the release of the explosive “Access Hollywood” tape — in which then-candidate Donald Trump boasted about groping women during an off-camera conversation with host Billy Bush — she sought to denounce what she said were instances of sexual harassment by congressmen against her and other women during her time working as a Republican political operative in Washington, D.C. But she said she was ignored by the press.

Under fire to defend Trump’s lewd comments about women, Conway cast the lawmakers and officials criticizing his remarks as hypocrites during an interview with MSNBC last October.

"I would talk to some of the members of Congress out there," Conway said during an Oct. 9 appearance. "When I was younger and prettier, them rubbing up against girls, sticking their tongues down women's throats, uninvited, who didn't like it."

No statement by Conway should be treated as factual without extensive supporting evidence from other sources. She is a continual and habitual liar on so many other topics she should get no benefit of the doubt.
Was she in Bowling Green when it happened ?

It should be investigated. And, be sure you have a feather with which to knock me over if it turns out to be complete bull****.

Name names.

I'm not particularly inclined to Ms. Conway, but given what we've heard of late re: our distinguished representatives in Congress, I'd say the chances are better than even that she actually does have a few true stories to tell.

Wow, she was like on cable TV for a hours a day during the Lewinsky deal. She looked pretty much the same except fewer stress lines and wrinkles in her face.

Well, sure, but you had to wait out all the music videos to see her and Butthead.

(I know I’m an asshole for saying that, especially on this thread, but I can’t help but be insanely amused by the Conway/Beavis comps. It’s a character flaw.)

Exactly. Also, people are reacting to these stories different now than they did during the campaign. The Weinstein story changed things and we all know it. To argue otherwise is complete bull****.

Yeah, liberals mostly laughed off Trump saying that women "let [him]" kiss them and grab their pussies.

It was a different time.

No, unlike you, they saw through to the real implications of what Trump was saying there.
Also, the guy was running for president. Everything a presidential candidate says gets picked apart. You know this.

The media is far more willing to listen to and share these stories now than it was even a year ago. That is inarguable among the sane. Or at least the honest. And that last bit is where Conway fails miserably.

They ignored the dictionary because they wanted Hillary Clinton to win and thought this was the knockout blow.

That's what they did.

That is your biased opinion. You are becoming YF more and more each day. It's not a good look for you. I'm concerned.

Even worse is your decision to defend Conway's bull****.
