It's come to this, it appears. Not sure what accessories it includes, but one would think she'd have a laptop, Blackberry and she could drive the dune buggy to assignments?

I think Barbie has all the equipment needed to be a journalist on TV these days.

120 jobs? Obviously, she's skilled at getting them, less skilled at keeping them.

Oh, and I love the concept of Beatnik Poet Barbie one of the commenters suggested.

Hook Barbie up with one of those new robot reporters and you'd have a match made in plastic heaven. ;D
Sorry, Ken.

Note to owners of Journalist Barbie: It is illegal to play with Journalist Barbie during five days of the quarter as she will be on furlough.

Journalist Barbie will be at Jets practice later today. Journalist Ken, meanwhile, has just been laid off from his job at his weekly, which has consolidated with all the other weeklies in the time zone, and is collecting unemployment while working on his blog, [email protected].

I figured journalist Ken would look like this guy:

I noticed that Computer Barbie wears glasses. How they forgot the pocket protecter, I don't know.

Does she have a flask of Jack in the bottom drawer of her desk?

Only to help her deal with another one of her accessories -- a pink slip

I was thinking this, if journalist Barbie worked at a small weekly:

Oh my. This thread is full of amazing work. Applause all around.

My guess is journalist Barbie isn't actually a journalist. She's a sideline reporter for a regional network owned by the team it covers, who was hired as eye candy and took the job away from a hard-working, fat, disgusting, white man that had paid his dues {crossthread} and got the shaft.

I can't even decide whether to make a joke about Journalist Barbie putting out, or not putting out. I guess either way it makes me look bad.
