Jorts

I thought about plaid shorts earlier as an alternative for Wicked, but they sort of have to be the right kind and worn with an appropriate shirt. I was wondering how many men here own them.

Full disclosure - I owned jorts in the late 80s - a pair of Calvin Kleins and a pair of Guess ones. Guys used to think they were hot. :-*

I think girls can still pull them off.

In any case, if it's any consolation to the originator of this thread, EVERYTHING that is currently uncool will become cool again someday, and everything cool will eventually be uncool. Just wait long enough.

Yeah when I was in high school 20 years ago, there was nothing less cool than flared jeans and trucker hats. But those came back, too.

About the only fashion trend from my youth that's never re-surfaced is parachute pants.

And that's unfortunate, because there's no other fashion accessory that looks quite as cool with bandanas tied around each leg.

Got a few pairs of those, but they're pretty low on the flamboyant scale, and I'm careful to only wear solid shirts with them. It's kind of a golf thing.

The world turned on jorts pretty quickly. As recently as 2008 or 2009 they still seemed acceptable. Cool even. Now? You might as well where a thong with a smiley face on the crotch.
I've got to disagree. I remember people being made fun for wearing them back in the early 90s.

Hahahaha!!! Cool in 2009, my ass!! :D

Still waiting for an explanation on short-shorts...

Dear Lord, please tell me what gender that object on the left might be. Or species. Your choice.

It's obviously an advanced species as it has elected to enhance the outfit with a belt. This ensemble has suddenly been dressed up with a simple, classic touch.

I wonder how old that photo is. Florida hasn't worn orange jerseys with any regularity since the Galen Hall days ...

Precisely. Solid polo, plaid shorts past the knee, good look.

What are short-shorts?
I saw my quoted text, saw your YouTube link and immediately knew what I was about to watch. And I have no idea what Wicked looks like, but I suddenly had an image of a grown man in jorts high kicking it like a Rockette. Thank you.

Jorts are just awful. I had a guy come in actually looking for jorts in my department the other day. He seemed kind of defeated, and told me the he 'just couldn't find denim shorts anymore'. We did get one set. I cringed.

LJB, I'm not sure... I think there are different fashion rules for women ...

Denim short on men. No. No. No.
