And also for his writing at his own blog, which he’s offering only to his Patreon subscribers.

Haven’t read the blog in some time.

He’s had a great career. I don’t think he’s been the same or near as good since Paterno.

I like his stuff, and I wish him the best. But I can't fathom any way that Passions thing is successful. It looks like the Foundation for a Better Life commercials, but in website form.

I'm confused by Passions. Both the 1990s soap opera that my girlfriend at the time loved that had an elf and a witch for some reason and this website.

I grew up loving to read Joe Posnanski. I loved his blog for years. After the Paterno thing, I could never read him the same way ever again.

I had no interest in reading Paterno when it came out. As I recall, it was slated for an earlier release but they held the book once the Sandusky stuff came into play. From a publications standpoint, it was a victim of bad timing, but in retrospect, it was a bad subject, given the horrible news that came out of State College. The publisher should have just killed the book. Honestly, at that point, who the hell wanted to read about Paterno as a noble coach/father figure when he allowed such atrocities to occur on his watch? Penn State should have also been given the death penalty--if there was ever a relevant time to do it, that would have been it, but that's another story for another day.

Yeah, the Passions thing just seems like a ridiculous idea. I read that and still have no idea what in the hell he's doing with it, which is probably a bad sign.
