After pickup volleyball in the park, wanted something easy for dinner. I know: chipotle is less than 2 miles away. Walk in. Can’t order in person, only online for pickup (even though restaurants are allowed to have 25 percent capacity). Get the iPad out of my backpack, find the site, make my order.
Pickup is 20 minutes later. I go in at the 10-minute mark. They have bags on tables with labels a-e, f-m, N-s, t-z. The online site had asked me to name my meal and I named it “Theodore” (long story). So there’s a bag on t-z. I look at the receipt, the writing is really small, but I finally decipher it is for “Robb” (yes, it was on the spot for t-z. I should have took that as a hint.
So I also look at a bag for n-s and it’s for “morgan”.
A woman is also looking for her bag and also can’t find it. I ask her her name, it’s morgan. I pointed her to the right bag.
Now, employee comes up and asks my name. I told him I named my order “Theodore”, he goes to check. Nothing for Theodore. “Is there another name?” “Well, my name is Fred siegle”. He goes back again. Turns out already on the table labeled a-e. The employee looks at me like I’m stupid. “It’s right here.” “But that’s a-e. I gave the name Theodore. Why do I name it if you don’t use the name to decide where to place it?”
“Well, we put it under ‘Fred siegle.’” “But that’s a-e. Why would I look there?”
“Oh, sorry.”
I get home, just 10 minutes away, and the entire burrito bowl, even the meat, is freezing cold. It honestly seemed like everything in it had been kept in a refrigerator.

I have never stepped foot into a Chipotle nor eaten any of their food.

Chipotle is a faux Mexican death trap ... you and everyone else should stay far, far away ... this is a good example as to why ... :D

I have never stepped foot into a Chipotle nor eaten any of their food.

It's... OK.

It's also proof that you can take chicken, pinto beans, cheese and salsa and wrap it up in in a tortilla and the result is nothing you could legitimately call Mexican food.

Chipotle serves a purpose, but it's not exactly what I would consider great Mexican food. (Or even Mexican food at all, really). I do enjoy their bowls from time to time.

I'll pop into a Chipotle maybe once every three months or so. Lots of them here since it started here.

My old body at least tells me that Chipotle is healthier than Taco Bell (that’s not saying much).

The double beef burrito supreme (with extra sour cream) at Taco Bell is in the pantheon of fast food "Mexican" items.

My kid has Chipotle about 3 times a week. Chicken and rice, that's all.

If you actually watch them make it, Chipotle tends to be OK. Every time I've ordered ahead and picked it up, it's been horrible. Moe's is the same way. I can only imagine they cut corners when you're not watching.
