Yeah, isn't it curious that no Red Sox were named in the report and Mitchell is a Red Sox director? Cust makes a valid point.

Jack Cust -- his .226 BA, 134 Ks and total lack of defensive ability -- should just STFU and be freaking happy he's still cashing a MLB paycheck.
Of course, he can always go home to daddy's baseball training center and teach kids how to strike out.
And we won't mention the rumors about Jack Cust when he was a high school phenom in NJ.

Ergo, the Mitchell Report had information from largely three sources: BALCO, Kirk Radomski and Brian McNamee. That why there were so many Oakland A's, San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees and New York Mets in there, no other, more nefarious reason.

Perhaps, but this is Bud Selig's fault for choosing Mitchell, who came into the process with a blatant conflict of interest. At best, it was incredibly stupid. The Mitchell Report was all about the public's perception of the game. It was done to show fans they were cleaning it up. If you are going to do something like that, perceptions of the report are every bit as important as the reality. And the perception among many people is that Mitchell protected the Red Sox. Fair or not, there is good reason for somebody with a suspicious nature to believe that.
