Yes, I've had enough of this game.

I'm quitting my job. Big paper, too.

I give notice on Friday, and in two more weeks I'm gone.

It totally sucks. But it's better to go than to work like this.

Discuss................

Please give more details of what you have to put up with at work so we can have a better discussion.

Dude, SportsNight got cancelled years ago.
Did you finally get the memo from Isaac?

No hypothetical here. I'm gone.

Staff has been cut beyond the bone, BossMan hides in his office, bad team, bad deal.

It coulda been so great. But they didn't care about the work, and then they just kept cutting back, and now I'm just gonna hit the road.

Thank God for that.

So if you have made your decision, why do we need to discuss it?
Your life, your choice.
Good luck whatever you do.

Dunno, X. Take some time off, I guess. Wash this **** off of me.

Get back into the game later on, but I hope it's not newspapers anymore.

Nobody wants talent anymore. They just want young kids pushing the buttons to make the machine run on time.

Utter bull****, but the suits are cleaning up.

My life, your future, Spirited. Think about that.

I'm a news dog. Was in 30 years.

It's spnited, not spirited, and he is one of the oldest people on this board. Pretty sure he has been doing it longer than 30 years.

I don't understand that statement.
Have you been in it for 30 years?
And my future is retirement in 10 years or less.

Sounds to me like you're one of the old guard who's having trouble adjusting to change.

Or not. But since you said to discuss ...

You're going to see a lot of this from the "young guard," too, once they realize that even if you pay every due that is asked of you, chances are 20 years down the line you're going to still be covering Podunk High.
