I would guess that "(expletive) DC" was tongue-in-cheek. And the rest read like a dude poking fun at all the overly pretentious people acting like Dark Knight was this massively complex movie that transcended the genre.

The whole quote reeked of sarcasm. I don't see why Downey had to attack the Dark Knight...he's just going to **** off the comic book geeks out there.
