I signed up a few weeks ago because everyone was saying it's one of those things you have to do to network and be visible while looking for work. It's annoying the **** out of me. If I wanted to get in touch with people I went to high school with, I would. I don't care what you're making for dinner and I don't care that you're sick of traffic. I'm not interested in the trivial details of everyone's life. Just because it happened doesn't make it interesting. And yet, truth be told, I still look.

Or, if professional networking is your sole goal because you have no need for interacting with friends, try LinkedIn.com.

So what Michael Jackson song are you?

He's just mad because no one will superpoke him.

Seriously, if you're not getting any thing out of it -- and apparently it's going so far as to upset you -- just don't do it anymore. It ain't rocket surgery.

Hey, I know I can deactivate my account or just never visit. I just find the postings a bit annoying, yet I keep looking. Can't someone complain about all the Jacko coverage but still watch? And if Anything Goes isn't an appropriate forum to vent, then where?

Tucsondriver, I hear what you're saying. Facebook has a way of sucking people in.

I must say, though, that I loved 2MCM's post.

(There is a "We want a Dislike Option" group out there. I suggest that you NOT waste time searching for and joining said group ;) )
