CINNAMINSON -- An 18-year-old Morrisville, Pa., girl was among four people charged "in an apparent scheme that would lure men to a local motel for sex, then rob them," police here reported.
Amanda S. Jenner, of the 500 block W. Bridge St., Morrisville, was held in lieu of $22,500 bail at the Burlington County Jail on six charges involving burglary, theft and prostitution.
Police said the gang’s downfall came when Jenner allegedly lured a Delran man into the Cinnaminson Motor Lodge on Route 130 yesterday for sex, then stole his pants and ran to a waiting vehicle where the three other suspects were waiting for her.
"When the suspects realized that the victim’s pants did not contain a wallet, the suspects returned to the motel," police reported.
One of them, Timothy A. Brandle, 21, of the 2000 block Old York Road, Burlington, then allegedly stole the victim’s 1997 Chevy Malibu, crashed it, and hid it behind a doctor’s office.
Officer Ryan Mayer spotted Brandle and another suspect, Charles E. Wheatley, 24, of the 800 block Filmore Street, Riverside, walking on Route 130; when they fled across the highway, Mayer located the victim’s wallet hidden in the bushes.
Officers Tim Obuchowski and Joe Shaw apprehended Brandle and Wheatley. Detective Andrew Johnson stopped Jenner and the fourth suspect, Colin G. Harry, 19, of the 300 block Clarkson Street, Burlington, as they operated a green Ford Explorer.
Police said Jenner was identified as a suspect in a burglary and theft of a wallet on Tuesday "in a similar scheme to rob unsuspecting men," police reported.
