Huggins to WVU??

Guy from my high school had a decent freshman year at WVU, playing off the bench with more PT, if not a starting job, in store next season.
His future in Morgantown is nil, with Beilein gone and Huggy in town. He'll have a better shot at actually playing in an NCAA tournament (if probation doesn't come first) by transferring to a mid-major.

He ought to hang on a week or so and see how many of Michigan's recruiting class decides to stick around and play for Beilein. Hot rumors have it that all 3 of their incoming freshmen are considering "decommitting" and trying to hook on somewhere else.

If the dude had a decent frosh season in the Big East, he would probably be adequate in the Big Ten. If any of those guys bolt, Beilein will be looking for warm bodies.

If you follow WV basketball, it's not difficut to figure out who you're talking about. True, some may go, but I doubt it's him. He, again if we're talking about the same guy, is probably the best at fitting into Huggins' system. But if he does go, it wouldn't be the first time that a player was told by a new coach that it might be best to transfer. I look at that as a favor. Sit and watch a system you don't fit into or have the coach be honest?
And why is it that many people just assume WVU is going to end up on probation?

Agreed. That's lazy logic. I don't think K-State is in any danger of being placed on probation any time soon, but maybe one year wasn't enough time for Huggins to get comfortable.

I've lived around Mississippi State fans, Texas A&M fans, Texas Tech fans...all devotees of "ag" schools with an inferiority complex vis-a-vis their in-state rivals. Those fans in no way compare to KSU fans in terms of being loosers.

But they all bow to Michigan State fans.

One could *easily* lump Purdue into that mix, but there is nothing like a Sparty with an inferiority complex (that said, I really enjoy my trips to East Lansing -- well, at least my trips to the MSU campus. EL itself is nothing to write home about).

Purdue has a very good engineering school. There's no part of MSU which could be described as "very good."
