Might be biggest case of homerism I've ever read. Hilarious

For all the people I know who grew up in Bristol and like to talk about how "tough" the town is, this made me chuckle. Want some cheese with that wine? The author of this piece should be embarrassed.

According to some of the Facebook replies beneath the article, it was apparently the Bristol players trying to start fights throughout the game, including one player kicking another in the back.

FWIW, Bristol nearly went at it with their previous opponent, Williams Valley, last week in the first round of states.

Jack Henzes is held in pretty high regard up Scranton way.

Live about 20 minutes from Dunmore. They love him up there, seems to be a quality guy.

Some random local fan asked me afterward what I thought of Dunmore.

“Dirtiest team I’ve seen in 10 years,” "Hey, asshole, I'm on deadline here," I said.

There's worse stuff on the Writing Workshop board. Why pick on some dip**** working for a rag?

Thing lists a Twitter handle at the end of that ... ehem ... column. Did he have to take it down? The one that has his name is from Louisiana.

Everything else aside, he lost me by making a big deal about it being an unfair advantage to play at Dimsdale or whoever the home team was.

I would guess that in the vast majority of states, football playoff games before the finals are played at the site of one of the teams, not some neutral site.

So when you whine about that (more than once) you lose me and credibility.

When you reach state quarters, which this was, the site is neutral, but closer to the higher seed.

How anyone made it to the point where he quotes himself I'll never know. Unreadable. He lost me at ”ridiculously unfair home field advantage.”
