Red Sox beat the Angels 4-1 in Game 1 of the ALDS.

What would you choose as the lede if you are writing for the Boston Globe? Or the LA Times?

Just a question... I think I would pick the Vlad Guerrero base running mistake in the 8th.

In LA/So Cal, it's Angels lose, so it's Vlad's hideous base-running and 10 satright post-season losses to the Red Sox (since the infamous Donnie Moore game in '86).

In Boston, it's Red Sox win, Lester dominant, Bay HR (but he's still no Manny), and 10 straight post-season wins over Angels.

Absolutely. End of thread.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times ...
