One guy was a second offense, the other was possession with intent to distribute. Mathieu and Jefferson, though, you're right that a first offense possession charge means they'll be out by breakfast at the latest. Wouldn't surprise me, though, if this leads somewhere else LSU folks might not like. Mathieu and Jefferson are very recent players. I can't help but wonder (and this is just spitballing; I have absolutely no proof or suspicion of anything) if there's a bigger operation at work within the team.
