I bought some salad kits at Aldi today. Figured I’d live dangerously and take my chances, considering explosive diarrhea might actually improve the current state of my life.

Hmmm.

At some point don't you think somebody in Brazil (or whatever other countries they're ****ing around with) might say, "Maybe we need to do something about this??"

Because with a contagious food borne disease, there's nothing better than delaying the recall!

Which of course carries us back to the halcyon days of Trump I, in the early days of COVID, when in the exciting early days of the pandemic, one of the preferred strategies among the Fat**** brain trust was, "do nothing, let it burn out."

Used to be a couple of folks around these parts who sneered at the idea we actually needed an FDA, as they found it blasphemous to the holy name of Ayn Rand.

I saw lots of Taylor Farms salad kits at Costco today. They were priced low and I wasn’t tempted for a second.

The biggest resort in town, and the fanciest on Cape Cod, has a working vegetable and flower farm in the next town over. They have a farm stand. I went there today to buy produce and there was no lettuce. "Any problem?" I asked. "Nope, sold out this morning," was the answer. Whole heads of non-iceberg you've got to wash yourself. People will pay a premium to avoid this illness.
