Whether you drink the stuff or not - hey, I do sometimes because it's $1 a pint during happy hour at several taverns in Microville, which is right in the heart of the craft brewing region - the revival of the Pabst brand is one of the neat stories in beer drinking.

We poor people need a cheap, affordable beer to swill. Sometimes it's hard to justify plopping down $3.50 or $4 for a pint (unless it's Widmer hef, yum).

Well I drank PBR in the 1970s so I'm grandfathered in as a Pabst drinker and don't qualify as a hipster doofus. ;D

And yes, Miller High Life ( I remember it in the clear bottle) is an excellent budget beer. Don't especially like Lite.

Nothing will replace Natty Bo, circa 1973-76, though. Spent many a night getting buzzed in the land of pleasant living.
