"All Day" now seemingly means 3 a.m. at a McDonald's drive-thru.
Adrian Peterson wandered up to a Mickey D's in Minnesota that late and asked to use the bathroom. The manager let him in, then got fired for doing so (the inside was closed). When word got out about what happened, she ended up with her job back.

I don't care if it's Michael Jordan and he offers you one of his rings, you don't let someone in after hours. It's stupid, and it disregards the safety of the employees. If she had any previous blemishes, firing is appropriate.

WTF is AP doing wandering around outside a Mickey D's at 3 a.m.?

Cut the guy some slack. If he played for the Bengals he probably would have been robbing the place.

AH. So corporate rules are rules, except when it comes to a millionaire celebrity.

Plus,

If AP was only "a couple blocks from home" as the story claimed, undoubtedly it took him longer to negotiate the whole process of unlocking the locked restaurant than it would have to drive home and **** anyway,

Plus,

If as the story also stated, he was in an SUV full of teammates, just pull the SUV off to a side street, take a good look around to make sure no cops or cameras are in the area, open the rear tailgate of the SUV so you are mostly enclosed anyway, have the other guys stand around you to shield you, then take a quick 15-second whizz to alleviate the "emergency."

Clearly you've not spent much time in Minnesota in January.

It gets pretty cold here too. It's not going to freeze and snap off in 15 seconds.

Oh, and when you're done and pulling away, you make sure to spin one of your tires through the puddle to make sure there's no neat yellow pool left behind -- JIC some friendly neighborhood porker was hiding behind a tree while you were doing the deed.

Trust me, I'm an emergency side-street pisser of long experience (although happily not in the last decade or so).

Now he's old enough to soil the Depends... :)

Great headline. I'm glad she got her job back. That's not a fireable offense.

Once the restaurant is closed, it needs to be locked down. Any manager stupid enough to let anyone in after hours is stupid enough to get someone shot.

Ding ding ding, My brother, an Arby's franchise manager at the time, was held at gunpoint once when some dip**** let somebody in "to use the pay phone" after lobby hours.

Once the door's locked, it's ****ing locked.

If she recognized Adrian Peterson, I think it's safe to assume he's not fronting some hold-up gang.

If she didn't, I agree that you don't let anyone in to use the potty.

Next time, maybe she recognizes an employee's friend. Or maybe an employee's ex-boyfriend who she doesn't realize is actually an ex. Or maybe it's someone she thinks looks like a celebrity but isn't.

If she's got a clean record, maybe I wouldn't fire her over it. But it shows a very bad lapse of judgment that I wouldn't want out of a restaurant manager.

Gotcha.

I don't care if she recognized Jesus Pogo-Sticking Christ. Once the door is locked, it's ****ing locked.
